Be Inspired | Be Encouraged | Be Transformed

Christmas is coming! We look forward to gifts wrapped in festive paper, yet the greatest gift of all time was born in a manger. Jesus Christ is the ultimate gift — the Son of God and the Light to all who dare unwrap His unwavering truth. He is our Good News.

But if there’s Good News, there’s also Bad News.

As humans, we’re aware that death is our eventual end. Every civilization demonstrates an awareness of divine judgement — an afterlife of rewards or punishments. God’s Word shows us that the penalty of sin is eternal judgement (Romans 3:23). Throughout our lives, many of us will try hard to “be good,” but we can only be minimally successful because we will still crave things that aren’t good for us. The result? We lie, cheat, lust, and steal. Worse yet, we have no human power to escape a terrible eternity. We are powerless to pay our debt of sin.

There is a way out of this darkness — Jesus, the gift of light and eternal life! (John 3:16).  God gift-wrapped Himself in human form, coming as a Friend of sinners, a Rescuer, and our Savior. By suffering the death we deserve, He defeated the power of sin so that we can walk in His salvation with everyday victories and eternal life.

The Lord desires an authentic relationship with you. He lived, died, and rose from the grave for you. He wants to live with you and in you (John 14:17). Believe in Him and He will erase your sin and empower you with new life. He never forces Himself upon us, but instead He invites us to step into the fullness of His grace. Will you choose to respond?
